SCSI Cable Connectors
I was at work today and was looking over Moos Jr's portable, and i wanted to do mine the same way. Seeing as i have about 300ft of 50 pin ribbon cable and another 100ft of various other types, i need to find the right connectors, i cannot find the 90 degree male coupler that he has though. Can any of you guys help me out? All i have are the female ones, that plug into the bottom of the cartridge holder, i need the 50 pin 90 degree one that goes into the motherboard.
Thanks
Thanks

Ok, well, I've been looking for the past 4 hours or so for those, and I finally found some. Here they are:
SCSI Headers
http://www.connectworld.net/cgi-bin/pro ... mZaDF;;465
I ordered 3 of the male and 3 of the female. Should work perfect once i cut off the molding around the male header and spread them a bit. Hopefully, this will work and that will leave me with 299 ft of SCSI cable left over.

if you honestly spent four hours searching for pics i pity you.chris_g_navy wrote:I planned on leaving the expansion port in there for now, I don't want to make needless risks right now anyways.
BTW, what did you search for to find that single header? It took me about 4 hours to find the double header IDC's

10 second search scroll down and you see them

OK well....
1.) If you had actually READ my post...you would have seen that i wasn't searching for pics, i was searching for the product
2.)I didn't have a name of the product to start with, so i had to start by guessing the name
3.)Not everyone is blessed with a lightning fast internet connection, in all actuality, the connection on this ship is about half the speed of 56k
4.)I'm not asking for your pity over a meaningless image search, I needed help finding the connector that I was going to use.
Thank you though for the link to the google image[/u]

The other thing you could search for is a "Right Angle Header." Get one with at least 50 pins, you can just snip off the extras.
EDIT: Oh, and the expansion port and ext. port are two different things. It gets confusing, but remember that the you plug an expansion pack into the expansion port, and the ext. port just sits underneath the motherboard and takes up space. I know what you meant though.

Have you ever heard of something called a Fast Pack? if not, Its a plastic container that you ship electronic components in. They come in varying sizes, the reason they are called Fast Packs, is, instead of wrapping the card by itself, you just throw it in the pack. The one i found is about perfect, ill get pics later tonight on my site www.freewebs.com/chris_g_navy
You'll find pics of the screen im going to use there and some other stuff. BTW i had to get another 64, my old one fried
