psone screen 7.5 alternate pinout...

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

There are many places to put the 7.5v input. Follow pin 1 of the that connector (7.5v input) to the wire onto the external board that has the power plugin on it. It should be a blue wire.

On the bottom right of the back of the main PCB board, there is a voltage regulator (7805):

INSTEAD of taking a wire from the pin shown, take it from the pin on the far right of this picture. This is the input pin and SHOULD be 7.5v, check with a multi meter, and if it's 7.5v, put it there.

the big back tab of the reg is ground, solder ground and 7.5v to the input. if you still dont get +5v on the output your reg is bad.

A helpful little tip, Ground means Ground no matter what it is. So the ground for the board and the ground for the battery are exactly the same thing. All the grounds are connected.

Take your board, and arrange it so you're looking at the component above, in that manner. Now look straight below that. You'll find a small silver point that says 7.5v right next to it. Solder there.

Why can't you solder onto there? Just solder onto the furthermost right pin in that picture. OR, that arrow point right next to the mentioned pin, that arrow is pointing at a pin, solder to that.
