You can run Linux and amulators on some of them though. Check hackaday.

That's not the point. The advantage of the JuiceBox is that it will run a Linux distro, and apps, and has native support for SD cards and stuff like that. I thought that's what you were talking about initially. It's really just a personal media player though. It would probably fit in a Gameboy Pocket with no problems though, if you wanted to grab one and mod it into a gaming device.genrox wrote:how is the juicebox any better than the video now? there both color and 3.0"
If you want to rip its screen and use it for a portable NES or whatever, you're probably out of luck on that front. As with most digital devices, it most likely uses a digital screen, which is no good for direct use in a portable. The other abilities of the Juicebox make it desireable, though.

i doesn't look like it cause here sorry if i'm putting you down thoughNick wrote:If you can use the JuiceBox, they're $10 at K-Mart right now.
If you want to play your own videos, don't get the JuiceBox. Unless you're a hard-core embedded hacker, you can't get it to work yet.
They work OK as MP3 players, if you get the adapter, and an exceptable picture viewer if you don't mind having to go through the converter. However, the only video you can play right now are the ones they sell.
Checkout the www.linux-hacker.net forum for JuiceBox and http://elinux.org/wiki/JuiceBox if you're interested in hacking the JuiceBox.
BTW, most K-Marts have the JuiceBox for $10 or less in store, as Nick said.
