DS multimedia player choices, any suggestions would be nice
Yes, I'm deciding to scrap my ideas of getting a gp2x, and with that moeny I'm going to get one of those carts that can play movies, music and roms.
But one problem that I've run into is that every time I google for "nds rom cart" it comes up with a cart that allows you to dwonload and play DS roms.
That's not what I want. I already have a huge collection of NES/FDS roms that I would like to use on my ds. So if anyone knows of a multimeda cartridge for the ds (can be inserted into the gba port) besides that ulgy huge red one, or that sd one. Please post your ideas here
Many Thanks,Big-O

Sorry for the double post, but gotta get this noticed, I really just want something that actally fits inside of the gba slot, like a regular gba cart, but I don't want an mk3,2,1 or a superpass,2 sticking out of the back. So if anyone can find something for the nds that just slips in and is flush like a regular gba cart, post it here with a link please.

How about one of these upcoming flash carts from Neo Flash?

If you use an RS-MMC or mini SD, it will look just like a normal GBA cart. You will then need a passthrough device for the DS slot, or to have someone install the FlashMe replacement firmware on your DS.
Then you can use a DS application called 'MoonShell' that lets you view specially converted videos, and even regular MP3 files!

Get an M3
I highly recommend the M3, which is available in compact flash, sd and mini sd formats. I have never had a problem with bad firmware updates except in the very begining when they first started. The supercard is basically low quality and not nealy as good as the M3.

To play those games, try http://www.pocketnes.org/.Big-O wrote:Uh, I don't think you guys quite get what i'm going to do with this.
The main purpose is to play .nes and .fds roms.
That's it besides maybe 1 or 2 movies.
Also, with the supercard mini sd,do you have to flash the frimware to use the cart?
I don't like forum signatures.
