rc airplane reciever board

Post by Zee100 »

i fly rc airplanes. a few days ago a small board in the airplane fried. i dont think its completly dead though. the ni-mh battery i was using to power it burst into flames and a small black device on the control board got extremmelly hot. all i know is that to avoid spending 28$(im 13 with no income give me a break :P ) im trying to replace this part heres the description.

1. looks just like a voltage regulator
2.heats up tremendously when i connect the battry
3.it says 6035AL on it i think that its a 6035 regulator but i cant find it anywhere so im asuming that its something eles.

my digi camera is charging ill update with pics when i can

thanks as always

(ps the reason i posted here insted of an rc forum is that this seemed like a better place for an electronic question) :P

its a MOSFET, a glorified transistor. its an electronic switch basically. it looks like its part of a dc-dc converter...

are you sure this is the olny broken part? or that its even broken?
