Well definitely not. But if you want to try, grab 20 or so and drink up. You'd get hyper off of all the caffeine, but not drunk.

That show looks like a cheap ripoff of mythbusters. N00bs.

The definite answer is no.

Soda doesn't contain alcohol and therefor can not make you drunk. Aside from Caffine, soda does not contain any drugs capable of altering your state of mind. Caffine travels to the brain and prevents the chemical messaggers for 'tired' from reaching their receptors, therefor keeping you relatively alert. You would quickly fill your stomach and oversaturate your body with fluids before you even came close to harming yourself with the Caffine content of soda.

But then, this is all common knowledge.

There's a story around here, (at the school drug talks where the cops come in and try to scare you out of drugs) about a kid who went to a party, and there was some drug that some kids slipped into the water, like tcp or something. anyways, they shut off the water to the building, and the drug makes you very thirsty

so he went home and drank out of his hose, but the drug also shuts off the "im full of water, stop dirnking" and he drowned himself.

anways ya. i dunno how thats relevant.

Only Mormans think you can be intoxicated by carbonated water.

As for drinking too much, you don't want to. Carbonated water will build up a lot of gas (or carbon-dioxid) and that can cause intestinal or stomach acks. I know not deadly but can be painful.

Timmeh you can die from excessive water consumption. If you drink too much water and dont take in any more elctrolytes you can dilute your electrolytes to the point that your neurons can no longer fire in your brain and you die. You have to drink a hell of a lot of water to the point of extreme discomfort. People who have ingested poison and it says "dilute with water" freak out and start chugging water and dye from hyperhydration. Also people on extacy who know they can die from dehydration will start downing water and end up dieing.

oh, true. but the way i understood it in this 'incident' the kid died right there with the hose in his hand. it would take much longer than that to die from hyper-hydration (hypo means 'below', so i think you meant hyper)
