new information about n64 voltage req's

good point.

however, from my experience with comptuers, more voltage = hotter, which implies less votlage = cooler = less wattage?

still, this should be investigated.. by me... when i get my new converter.

After I get my N64p working, I am definatly making a diagram so all of these questions can be avoided. It will be based off of a 7.4v battery.

I am computer graphics so photoshop goes a long way for me

Hey, sorry to bring up a semi-old thread. But I needed to clarify something. The 5 volt regulator on the N64 is a 78M05. (Look at it very closely. It has the number printed on it.) The 78M05 is just like the 7805, but it only supplies 500mAh, not 1 amp... thus the "M"... you know... for "Medium."

They have a 78L05 too, which only supplies 100mAh. (The "L" standing of course, for "Low.") But you can get them in a TO-92 package, which as awesome for uber small applications.
