I use linux, and I have windows just in case. My iPod Shuffle recentaly broke and I am getting $150 store credit for it. I was wondering some wuggestons for a good linux compatiable mp3 player.

The Sansa m2xx line. You just have to set up the transfer mode on the mp3 player to msc I believe. All is good afterwords.

There are two software applications that are working to making it possible to do everything under linux to an iPod that you can do under iTunes on Mac OS and Windows. Gtkpod and mypod.

Yeah I used Gtkpod for my Shuffle, but it was buggy for the shuffle. If I can afford it I'll probably get the real iPod if not maybe a Creative something...

I have a 20GB Creative Zen Touch, it works great under Linux using gnomad or neutrino.

I use gtkpod for my 1gb shuffle and I've never had a problem. Gotta love bugs though :P
