Stupid question

Post by Lagonium »

Here's a stupid question for you: Does the DS have a battery in it? My SP (that I got off eBay) was doing the same thing you were talking about (screen flashing on for an instant, and the charge lights going nuts) and when I put in a battery, it started to work pefectly. I hope this helps. Oh, and you can use GBA SP batteries in a DS, you just need to hack off the little prongs on one end, and it should fit.

Good luck.

edit: You might have to charge the battery before it'll start running off of battery power.

That probably means it's charged all the way. Did you get your parts yet? If you havn't you can check F1 with a multimeter, do you know how to do that?

even if i did my voltmeter broke so i think ill just jump it after i install the parts and see what happens. to jump it you should just put a blob of solder over it right?
