nintendo ds battery idea

Post by Zee100 »

i was looking at the ratings of a ds battery compared to a psp battery, there pretty similair in the volt rating but the psp battery (the stock one) holds more than 2 times the MaH rating of the ds (stock) battery. the question i hav e is would it be posible to use a psp batery in a ds( changing some stuff obviosly would need to be done)

is it possible?

would it work?

would the ds be ably to charge it?(probably not)

thanks
:P

The PSP voltage is 5v... How much is the DS battery?

The DS is 3.7v (one li-poly cell).
You'll need to build a stepdown DC-DC converter for that.

Damn, that's quite small. Does it use step-up tranformers like the PSOne screen to power the backlights?

the psone screen uses a cold cathode, which involves firing electricity though a near-vacuum. i think the ds uses some sort of electroluminescent stuff or something. low votlage.

The DS uses LED's, and a diffusion panel.
