Need help Identifying something
I got given this steering wheel for free as a friend of a friend doesn't know how to work it. I had a look at it and looking in the back it has a cartridge slot. It runs of 6 votls, via DC input or Batteries, it has AV jacks and a joypad socket. The buttons on the steering wheel are A, B, X, Y plus it has to side buttons, d pad and a pot for steering wheel function.
Could anyone give me an idea if it is a OAC of something. I'll get some pics of the chip and controller port later if need be. I don't know what it is. I thought it might be a snes but then I thought of the two shoulder buttons,
Does a snes have L + R buttons o.O?

As I said in my first post Nick, it was all inside a steering wheel. No names on it besides Rollodex which was on the horn button badge. Which is no help at all. So a NES cart has 60 pins, How much does a SNES cart have? I can't see how it would be a NOAC as it has 8 buttons. Twice as much as a nes controller.

To clear things up. If that thing has 60 pins it's an NES or technicly NOAC. As for the extra buttons I've bought Super Joy IIIs and they have turbo for A and B. As for modifing the NOAC not likely, those chips are built and sold in bulk so they're all the same, questionable quality included. You'll also need a Fami converter, NES system has 72 pins and the Famicom has 60 so you'll need the converter to play games of US/EU region (there is no software lockout).
And to let you know the SNES has 50 pins/contacts.
Let me know if this thread will stay on the subject of the NOAC or NES, as if it does I'll move it to the NES forum where it's best suited.
