WhIcH pOrTaBlE tO mAkE nExT?

Post by vgcollector666 »

I've recently Accuired three PSone Screens and the necessary parts to complete a few different portables. So now I don't know which to make. I am currently working on an NESp so I have two more to do after that. Which of the following should I do next?

PSone
Nintendo 64
Sega Genesis
Game Cube
Atari 2600

What do you guys think?

God man...

Easiest to hardest:
Genesis
PSOne
N64
Atari 2600
Gamecube

In my opinion.

I suggest N64, partially hard, but WAY worth it.

Do you really think the Atari is that hard??? That was my first portable i ever made (but i fried the board shortly before finishing it) And i thought it was fairly simple. I have a N64 mobo in my hand as we speak so I may do that next but I only have one game for it so I dunno.

I would put the GCN before the Atari 2600, or even N64. Really, i didnt have to do much modifications to build mine. The reason i took so long was because i had no money to buy the parts :?

The Atari really isn't that hard. Yeah, there's a bit of wiring, but it's really easy... I currently have one functional 4x4 board of an Atari wired over the course of 2 days (and I only worked about 30 minutes each day)...

Here's a few factors to consider:

Cost - How much do you have to spend? The harder systems may fry and you may need more money to get a new one. Also, what about DC/DCs, regulators, tacts and stuff like that?

Games - Do you have many games already for the system? That's going to make it even pricier if you don't already have games.

Love - Pick a console that you love to play! No point in making a portable you won't play. (unless your going to be selling it)

the 7805 out.
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
