Very Small Dreamcast

Post by Unidentified Assilant »

Is the Dreamcast any smaller? I have two, and one has a broken GD drive, so I want to take that off and put on a smart media card slot, so I can SMC cards for it, to play MP3 files and a headphone jack, but I want it smaller than a normal Dreamcast, maybe with a controller to upload games to my SMC card and play them on it.

No the Dreamcast doesnt get any smaller. The motherboard stayed the same size and the Treamcast is the same size (just doesnt have and internal power supply and modem). If you plan on replacing the gd-rom you need to find a way to make the Dreamcast think the card (or whatever) is the Gd-rom, I would suggest you us a cd-rom as the Dreamcast read cd-rs.

I only thought of this today, I could just insert a standard CD drive to make it like a walkman, but have a controller port so I can play cd-r games on it, a lithium ion battery and a psone screen will do.
