Best Classic RPG

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

Okay, since us normies can't do polls anymore, I'll just do it by word of mouth. What's the best classic console RPG? By the way, classic is defined as, in this situation, 16 bit and down.

I'll vote first. CHRONO TRIGGER

Also, is Secret of Mana any good? I've never played it :(

secret of mana is pretty good but seiken densetsu 3 is better it is the sequel that wasnt released in America

But Chrono trigger still takes number 1 for me, it is such a great RPG. with so many posssibe endings and weapons, and the tech attacks are pretty cool also especially the double tech and triple tech moves

The Best "obscure" RPG would be Shenmue. Its got a battle system but not turnbased, its based on Virtua Fighter.

The Dragon Warrior / Quest series is my favorite.

YAY! Someone said Dragon Quest! SMRPG LotSS is pretty good, but nowhere as good as some of it's counterparts. Space quest is wacky and funny, so I really can't argue at all with that. It just proves I'm not the only one who's played it! Never heard of that Virtua Fighter based game. I may pick it up.

Kings Quest 1-6! Grew up on that game, then Commander Keen, and then Doom.

I have to go with Chrono Trigger spent many a weekend renting that game. Very hard to come buy now. A close second would have to be FF3, another game that just consumed a lot of my time and really got me truned onto RPG's as a whole

Peace

Chrono Trigger is by far the best classic RPG. But since that is already taken, I'd have to said either Tales of Phantasia or FF3/6, both were awesome.
