well... im almost done my ps one portable and i now need some help
my built in controller is not being detected ...do i have to connect ground from the controller to ground on the playstation?.... my controller is the white one and it only has 8 pins instead of 9 Why??

Yep, you connect all the grounds of everything together. So if it hasn't been connected, then try it out.

I tried and still nothin....... but why would my controller not have as many pins?? well ill try again.. better luck tommorrow i guess

Concerning 8 pin controllers; Are you using a controller which doesn't have analog sticks?
I noticed that the ones without analog miss a pin.
Maybe this helps.

Actually it does have anolog sticks........aww..man
EDIT: YES YES YES....... i got it to be connected but i have to re do my tact swiches
ill be done some time this week.... I hope!
EDIT AGAIN.....dammit now i need a NEW controller........*sighs*
