Hey, I just got my Order of Ubuntu Linux Disks for MAC, PC, 64-Bit PC

Anyone else get there Ubunu Disks Lately?

Nope I haven't ordered nor have I tried Ubuntu. I hear it's a good distro, and that they do things that go against the norm (like change the inittab settings). If Ubuntu works on my Pavillion zv6000 model laptop I might take a closer look at it.

I also hear you can only get a minimum order of 10 discs. That right?

Nope I have:
10 64 bit, 5 Mac, and 30 PC

Edit: And Its Legal To Distribute them for Money. [Says right on the Box]

3rd Edit!: Oh and Theres 2 CD's in each case, Install CD, and Live CD.. You know what that means... Try abuntu without Altering Anything!

4th: How Do I Boot off CD?

Press F5 F2 or Del tp make your cd boot, in the bios settings. I use Ubuntu and I hate it. I could't get Solaris to work with my video card though.

Well, I just requested 5 PC CDs. I've always been a huge Gentoo fan. Does anyone have an opinion on how Ubuntu compares to Gentoo? I love Gentoo for portage and its ability to be tailored to your exact needs. Plus the documentation available is great.

Actually mine came yesterday, 10 pc cds, 2 mac and 3 64 bit versions. Its pretty sweet considering that i got them for free.

I'm downloading a Ubuntu-5.10-Live-i386 ISO right now!

All done, and I burnt it, too! Sonic RecordNow is horrible. They want money to burn ISO's, so I burnt the ISO directly to a disc, and I burnt a real bootable CD on another computer that had NERO 5 (which is good!).
