I'm working on my portable and I was wondering if you can just pull the wires connecting the vibrating motor off the controller board
Or
do you have to pull the wires off and short the leads between them?

I dislike rumble. It usually only happens when you're a very frantic part of the game, and it messes you up more than if you didn't have it. About 50% of my controllers have the rumble motors removed.
