well, school went on a block-spree. there used to be only a few sites, now there about a bajillion blocked. they blocked proxify.com and some others. i was wondering if anyone knew any other good proxys or how to set up one.

Well, this would be the first time I found out about Proxify! This is gonna' be sweet at school tommorow! (if they dont block it). Thank god they dont block Benheck!

Also, we had a simaler thing. Ever heard of Meebo? They blocked "http://www.meebo.com" but didn't block "https://www.meebo.com"

my school has 8e6 r3000 its actual hardwareblocker THEY BLOCKED WEB BASED STORAGE SITES! (eg imageshack! deviantart! putfile!) retards all of them i sweaar

Ya my school board (not just my school but all schools in the intire city and sourounding area) has been going crazy with the website blocking. They blocked almost every gaming site that exists including IGN, gamespot and joystiq. Thank goodness they havn't blocked Benheck or Engadget yet. The part that really pissed me off was they blocked Hack-a-day! The reason they gave was it was hacking, but it's not even hacking, it's just modding randome hardware...

Well I did know the password but some retard got caught using it so, I too have been forced to use a proxy.

where benheck is you type the url you want and that is the one of the few that is not blocked.

My school's content filter is really dumb. My friend is doing a research report on the study of lake monster phenomena (Nessie, etc...). However half the websites he goes to are blocked. The reason? "Forbidden category: Cult/Occult"

That's not the worst part. On the SAME MACHINE, AT THE SAME TIME, he was able to get to pages describing:
-How to make C-4 (plastic explosive), place it, and ways to detonate it
-The anarchist's cookbook
-YTMNSFW (NSFW YTMNDs)
-Assault rifle online shops

How dumb can it be?!

that's by far the best one. most proxies (other than proxify) just get to banned sites but that can get to anything. proxify's faster but it has limits to where you can go unlike this one

Yes, my school happens to be a little too strict.. they block:

Run, Command Prompt, can not change background, no control panel, internet options in IE, http downoading (ftp works); blocks websites categorized:

"games", "tasteless", "innapropiate kyewords", "anonymous proxies", "proxy avoidance", "sex", "cults/Occults", "religious", ect..
