Tron~Matrix
Well, I'm almost done watching the Premiere of T.R.O.N on Sci-Fi (ends at one). I watched it and get the feeling that the Matrix ripped off the idea. Enslaved in a virtual world, pawns in a bigger plot, etching for freedom. Uncanny, no? Discuss!!!!

TRON is one of my faves! And I love the arcade game. DId ya know you can play the original on Tron 2.0 for Gameboy, and Discs of Tron also.
Check me out at http://www.flashplayer.com/animation/ha ... anity.html
I've seen a bit of Tron, but really when it comes to ancient sci-fi, give me the Black hole. As for the Matrix ripping off ideas of Tron, guys there is almost nothing orginal anymore, so what you do is take an idea and you craft the idea in a new way. If that's what happened, good for the creators of the Matrix triligy.
As for the bible stuff. New it, who couldn't. "The One" who could manipulate the Matix as he though and free humanity from bondage. Hell it really should have clicked when Neo died, a person sacrificing themselves to save everyone else. I think you'd just have to be a person who was an atheist and lived in a cave for the first 20 years of your life to not know that there where religous overtones in it. Hell some people remarked it as the modern Star Wars, becuase it mixed religions so well together.
P.S. I'm trying to avoid direct comparisons, as Ben doesn't want relious discussions here.
