PSone Screen Hack Question

Ok. I read through all of the stickied information and did search for the answer to my question. I accidentally destroyed the plugs for the speakers, and cannot tell which wire (red or black) goes to which solder point (top or bottom). Ben talks about extending the speakers in his book when building the handbuilt NESp but does not have a picture showing which goes where.

I got my screen second hand and it was missing the speaker wires completely. I looked at a pic in a thread and saw that the top was the red wire, and the bottom was the black wire. And it worked. It works either way I hear, but will sound distorted if you get it wrong.

Just double checked by looking at some picshere and it looks like on the left side red is the top, and on the right side red is on the bottom. It makes sense because the plug would be rotated to the opposite of the other side.
Sorry about that. heh. It was working fine the way I had it, so I assumed that was it. I wonder if it even matters on speakers.

as long as they are the same on either side, it shouldnt even matter

He's right. It doesn't matter with speakers.
