I'm actually posting from DSL Live CD. Still won't let me install it on the virtual hard drive though...

Actually, I got Vista from my boss, DSL from the home website, and VPC2004 from my college for my Microsoft Networking courses. Virtual machines are much better than having to buy two Windows 2000 boxes.

Kazaa's just there taking up space right now. I'm thinking about uninstalling it and BitComet.

I am a die-hard Netscape (Mozilla) user. People always ask me "why do you use Netscape?" and I always say one word - TABS!

The funny response always is, they defend IE by saying it WILL have tabs in the next version. That's hilarious, I mean, it's only what, FOUR YEARS behind Mozilla with that feature?

That's like saying to someone "Your car sucks" and them saying "My next one will be better!" So? That doesn't change the one you have now!

I did notice Frontpage 2003 finally got TABS. It needed them bad. I think the newer Adobe products have them too.

TABS RULZ!

Ive had IE7 beta for a while. Its like FF, but microsoft did a crappy job copying them. The UI is also pretty sucky.

Guys if you really want Vista or the Longhorn build, go to thepiratebay.org and use bittorrent. It's been there for months, and likely as Microsoft isn't making any money off of Vista I doubt their on a campain to smash all downloaders.

Hey Vista's already like a can of worms out of the jar. Besides I'm only telling you where to get the torrent, not the file. If however Luc, Sponebuell or Bicostp feel it is wrong then just delete the post.

Well, i've tried that, but torrents never work and they download at 3-4 KB/sec, when via FTP/HTTP i get 2-6 MB/sec

Skyone's right. I was giving an idea of what Vista could do and giving screenies. I never told you the product key or where to download it. The build I have is a special release, and I only have it because my boss knows someone in Microsoft's program at the college I attend and work at.

Please stick with legal means of discussion, k? I don't wanna get in trouble for starting this thread.

dude, your build is so old!

i find those CTPs very unstable and (mostly) really slow. now that vista is feature completed maybe it will get finally polished. let's hope ;)

Shiny graphics doesnt mean good OS

Mozzila is still the way to go, ive had little to no spy/adware since switchin from IE

Also just out of interest is anyone running the Windows Xp64 beta at all?

Ive been running it for a bout a year now and personally i think theres too many drawbacks for a little boost in performance seeing as i have no 64-bit application to run.

Im only using it because i havent got a spare copy of regular xp becaus emy mum's very security conscious and wont let me just me use one the other xp disks that i have because they're already installed on other computers.
