heatsink?

heatsink?

i wanna replace the big heatsink on the n64 with a small computer one. how do i stick a heatsick on? is there a special kind of glue or somethin?

I think you can just use superglue.

I'd use thermal adhesive.

i checked at radio shack today and they dont have any. the guy also checked
to see if he could order any and he said that radio shack dosent even carry that.

i looked on that site and still cant find it. do you no the name brand of it or something? i think you guys are thinking about heatsink compound thats not what i need i need something that will let me stick a heatsink on the chips. normally u stick them on with clips on the mother board but those clips arent on an n64

no, they also make thermal adhesive that is thermal compund, with adhesive properties. a brand name i hear much of is artic adhesive and artic alumina adhesive, from the artic silver line of thermal adhesives.

get some of the arctic silver, it runs about 8 - 9 bucks for a syringe of it, but that is more than I ever use ( I build computers )
its the best on the market
