hi, most of yous will be experts here but im a COMPLETE noob here and im looking to get started on building my own ps portables :?. im 15 yrs old but ill be able to take in the information n all tha (hopefully :oops:) n i know this will probly piss a lot of yous off but i have to start somewhere and hopefully this is the place :wink:

Welcome aboard. first of all, watch this video: http://benheck.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/ ... .php?t=970. if you understand that, post all you want :) . Next, browse around some of the sites about this stuff, such as http://www.doomportables.org, http://www.gannon.tk, and, http://www.classicgaming.com/nestable (for NES, but good information that can be applied to other stuff.

As for some basic hints, use the PSOne, not the original PSX. The PSOne screen is the best, due to its size, quality, and price. As for batteries, use camcorder batteries if you have the money, or NiMH rechargable batteries. Plain old AAs do not have much power and it will pay for itself after a few cycles. You can get all the rechargable AA's for about $20, I'm guessing. If you have any more questions, just ask.

come to think of it, you can use almost any rechargable battery, although some work better than others.
