the big ol' battery in your car, you know, the kind that plays your radio and headlights and starter and all that good stuff. Of course, that wouldn't be all that portable

This is all the info I have garnered so far about my project:

built in a 7x5x3 radioshack project box
will have a psone screen with the led backlight mod
will have 10 1.2 volt 2250mah rechargeable AA batteries
will have 2 2' speakers to replace the psone screen's
will use the controller chip of a superpad controller
will have custom A, B, Start, and D-pad buttons
Will have a mini dpdt switch to turn the overclocking on and off
Will have custom L, R, and Z buttons from an old sidewinder gamepad
Will have a top loading cartridge (and I won't have to solder as much if I can find some scsi cable and a few of those connectors that Moose Jr. had)
will have a pelican xbox joystick instead of the crappy superpad one
will have the yellow (C) buttons painted to match the other buttons
will cost more than I have right now ($35 U.S. for the freaking batteries)
Will hopefully be done by May 2005

not really, just switching out some of the buttons with ones from a sidewinder pad, and changed the case to a project box from radioshack
