iTunes seems to be following the Quicktime trend, today it wanted to update to version 6.0.2.

Quicktime may update a lot, and it probably does suck for Windows, but in Mac OS X, runs smooth as velvet, at least most of time when you don't load 5gb avi files. Windows Media Player sure doesnt (in OS X) :D. I'm sure this is because the two companies don't exactly like each other and everything but still.

Not trying to flame Windows or anything, I actually use both OS's, but I tend towards the Mac side when doing things like converting movies or browsing the web. Windows has me won over with games... Oops that's irrelevant to this thread. I'll just be on my way.

Let's pretend I acutally know how to work Linux, Unix, etc.

Best to Worst:

Linux
Windows
BeOS
Unix
Apple

Damn Apple with their 1 button mice, and their mice with 17 hidden buttons.

Ah, you might want to change that to Unix (orginal is always the best), Apple/OS X, Linux, BeOS and then Windows. And under OS X you can have a mouse with even 5 buttons.

Adobe Acrobat READER - You can access PDF files...the end!!! What else do you need? A pdf file is a pdf file!!!!! I don't waste time with this anymore, especially since the file grew to about 8MB for the stupid reader. I just go to downloads.com and use one of the freeware readers that's a little over 1MB.

Adobe Acrobat PROFESSIONAL on the other hand...okay, work on that baby!!! =)

Could you imagine what would happen if other everyday items had this pop-up?

"A new cooler version of fridge is now available - press the button on the side to arrange a delivery time"

"A new more comfortable version of Bed is now available...."

"A new faster flushing version of toilet is now available..."

"A new more explicit version of hardcore porn DVD is now available..."

and when you grab a big axe to smash the offending pop-up:

"A new sharper version of axe is now available...."
I've often found if people spend less time worrying about what someone the other side of the world has posted on an internet forum and more time getting laid, they'll be a lot less tense.

Hee hee  There used to be a commercial on TV just like that.

All PC games! They are constantly needing new patches. It kills my dial-up.

AIM. It has all these updates, and yet it still is exactly the same. Virus patches?

Every P2P program ever. If you've used one, you know what I'm talking about. And you still get viruses from them, so what are they fixing when they make a new version?!

G-Force reminded me on one thing. Recently almost everytime I started up Azureus it had updates to install. I don't mind an update, but this was for the last 4 or 5 time. What have I missed that would require that many updates?

So far, I think that deserves the prize of "why the hell would that need an update in the first place, let alone ever week?"
I don't know to tell you the truth. I think it might just be new information for the HELP files.

Duh, the answer is, of course, Windows XP! Xp's auto-update updates around ten times a day! The sad part is, it still is the worst OS ever invented. Mac roxorz, even though it has 1-button mice, because apple-key click=right click!
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

Funny that you should say that. I just downloaded and installed what must have been a huge update, it took me ~2 hours to dowload! Now it's gonna bug me to restart the computer. Whee....

Thanks! I laughed when I saw it too, ignoring the odd looks from my family. I can't wait to try them. They better have made me taste good! :P

Just my opinion. I just hate the feel of Unix and Apple. BeOS just makes me feel cheap. :D
