I finally played an Xbox 360

As said above. You can't expect the best games to come out first. The developers have to get used to the dev kits and how the Xbox performs in diffrent areas. My friend has one, and almost every game out there for the 360 and he loves the thing to death. He dosn't have a HDTV but the thing still looks good on his 32 inch TV.
You can't really get a feel for a 360 if you play it standing up in the middle of a store. For example, the 360 can play DVDs, mp3s off a USB thumbdrive and replace just the music in the game your playing with your music on the USB drive. Also you can, with the touch of a button, pause your game and oepn up the Xbox 360 menu whyle your playing it so you don't have to stop your game to change a setting.
As I said, just wait 4 or 5 months for some new, better games to come out. Take the PS2 for example. Most of the games looked like crap when it wa relesed, but after 5 or 6 months the PS2 had a good amout of games that looked amazing.

I love me Xbox 360, and I think the games and graohics are great. You guys have got to realize that the system is a mere 3 months old, of course the devs aren't using it's full potential. Have they with any previous launches? Compare Halo to Halo 2 and you will see the difference in graphical quality between a launch game and a game near the end of a console's life cycle. These games are only going to get better.
Life is a lot like a video game without the extra lives and continues.

Yeah I've heard PDZ is not the "must have must see" game for the 360. Even Call of Duty, I don't think it looks better than a new PC game with a really good graphics card. Granted, those cards cost MORE than a 360, but still, the PC is hardly dead.
Still, all around, I bet the graphical differences between current and next gen systems will be the smallest ever. I don't know about you guys, but I was pretty darn impressed the first time I played an N64 (Wave Race and Mario), a Dreamcast (Soul Caliber) a PS2 (Timesplitters, which DID look good) Xbox (Halo) and even the Gamecube (good graphics, invisible load times)
Hopefully what the new games do is what stuff like Battlefield 2 does. Use the high end systems to create very large, highly interactive worlds with lots of destructable objects.

but you also have to remember the difference between halo and halo 2 (beginning and close to the end of Xbox). The 3 core processor is definitely not being used to its fullest yet because console developers are not used the the technology. I too was not impressed with 360 right of the bat, and my friend who owns one plays more Geometry wars than real games, but it will improve in time.
Also, if you look at the BF2 graphics on X360 and PC, it is easy to tell that an upper end PC has much better graphics, but as you said, if you want to run 2 GeForce 6800GT's your looking at close to 600 dollars.

I remember reading a Article about Sony fireing, a member of the PS3 development team for comparing the 360 to the PS3. He gave a higher favor to the 360 and he said he constantly heard the F-bomb when people were talking about the hardware, usually the f-bomb was used for some thing bad

That guy who claims this was only a guy who set camera paths for games. He doesn't know any technical stuff, and I'm pretty sure he has no idea what was going on. MGS was proven to be real time in one video where the guy could move around the whole place, change settings, and more.
Wheather he was lieing or not, what company would keep a guy who states the company has nothing to show, and the games look like that of the earlier consoles?
