I finally played an Xbox 360

Yippee. They DO exist. Only game I played was Perfect Dark Zero. Some impressions:

I know it was gonna be a Gamecube game, then Xbox, now 360... so I give it some benefit of the doubt. That said, this is the least impressive "next gen" game I've ever seen. Really, the game looks only slightly better than an Xbox, with some fancy lighting effects and everything's shiny.

Seriously, it doesn't look much better than God of War for the PS2 (which granted, looks great) Count me unimpressed.

Still, a regular TV looks like crap when you're used to FPS on a computer.

Also the Xbox 360 is rated 103 watts, and the heat coming out the back is like the heat vent in your car. It's cool you can turn the system on with the controller, but I'm gonna wait for PS3. And a hi-def TV.

im all in for the Revolution.....sadly i just hate Sony. But GOd of War was really good!

I'm waiting til more are made, good games are released, free60.org getting darwin working, and I have the money for such an item.

Really I'd be waiting to see which next-gen console come out on top. Last time we had Dreamcast vs PS2 vs Xbox vs GameCube. And lets all face it Dreamcast died, PS2 won, Xbox got silver and GameCube seems content with 3rd. So I see this new gen as a fresh start.

Actually, the Xbox didn't come out until after the dreamcast lost. Microsoft basically bought out the rights to the dreamcast, and then used the design off it to help in the design of the xbox.

yeah the next good game (and im freaking picky) to come out i'll play it on that system and swear buy it. (probly wont be revolution but like the DS i realy want it to be)

Fantastic! Maybe I should fit an in-car Xbox 360 to my Volkswagen Bug!

Anyone who's ever owned a VW Bug (the original, not the crappy new one) will testify how bad the heaters were.

The first time I played an original Xbox was last weekend! Was gonna buy a second-hand PS2 (I never buy games consoles from new unless they're clones) but the Xbox was considerably cheaper and it's clearly the superiour system compared to the Xbox even though it has less games.

I played a 360 in target last weakend, I believe it was runing it's Medal Of Honor game (to lazy to look up the name). I pretty much aggree with Ben the graphics, they certainly were at least a little better than most recently released xbox games but not that impressive overall, I attribute this mostly to the fact that the system is new and like most systems when they'er new there will be very few games atfirst that really use the system to it's full potential. Just my 2 cents.

Perfect Dark Zero sucks, Call of Duty 2 is AMAZING, I know like 3 people who own one, and there very satisfied with call of duty, but hate perfect dark zero. I personally think Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion looks the best out of what I've seen so far.

I played a 360 at my friends house, that he got off ebay (From Europe), it plays domestic games!!!!, get 360s for cheap from Europe

I watched It playing "call of duty 2" In walmart, And it looked pretty nice. It's sad that I'd still rather play any FPS with a keyboard and mouse, so No Xbox 360 for me. And seing as how they arent available, and Noboby i know has a HDTV, well, Its like buying a expensive redesigned xbox.

The graphics were nice on the HDTV, something I'd really like to see with my computer. I mean, Halflife 2 Is one of my personal favorites. There's good physics, and awesome graphics. Plus you can make your own maps, and they're doing the whole "High Dynamic lighting" which my computer cant handle.

So I think the Xbox 360 would have been nice if at least somebody I know Had one, and if it was In HDTV. I would say, If I didnt own a computer right now, or an XBOX 360, I'd still go with a computer. You can do so much with a computer, even use the 360's controller in it! And of course, you don't need a good monitor to play some graphically inclined games. However, you do need RAM, a good processor, and a graphics card.

As far as a console goes, not comparing it to a computer, I like it. Its about the same as the Normal Xbox controller, as far a button placements go, so picking up the new GTA whenever they make it, (or if they even do?) would be easy to pick up and go. The system Is huge (again) but it pack the most power out of the current ones. but sorry Xbox, I would have liked it a bit more, had walmart not been the only place i'd played it.
