Contrast Adjustment Switch

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Contrast Adjustment Switch

Post by AcidRainLiTE »

Ok, I removed the original buttons that adjusted contrast and volume to wire them to switches that I could mount on the case. I soldered a wire to one of the contacts (where the original switch was) on the circuit board and put hot glue over it to secure it. I needed to remove it and I didn't feel like scraping away the hot glue so I yanked it off...the little metal piece of the board that you solder to came off with it. Can I no longer attach a switch there? Thanks.

You need to follow it back to the nearest bit of trace left on the board that went to that tact switch. It may be difficult, but it is still possible to attach a switch if you REALLY want to.
