An underwater post office, ok thats a bit strange. I'm gonna gess that it was just a post office that was in a box underwater with big windows... not one that you need scuba gear to get too. If it was like that the letters would get soggy :P

BTW, Nice post count *o* :P

Cool I'm not the only member that SCUBA dives here.

Glad to see you enjoyed yourself. Never heard of the place you went to sadly.

just a quick question. how much does a set of scuba gear actually cost (full set that is tank, B.C.D., gauges, regulator, ect....)

Well the basic stuff; fins, boots, snorkal and mask go for about $300 for quality stuff. SCUBA tank will run you about $150, good BCD (I use a wing) is $50-100, and your weight belt depends on your situation.

Now the weight belt I said that because my dad made use our belts. And to further stress the point is that some BCDs have pockets that let you put weights in the vest. So really it's the setup you want. I would suggest if you do any cold water diving with a wet-suit, have a belt that is spring loaded to tighten as the suit gets more compressed (like ours).

I've never scuba dived before but my dad did for 30 years when he was young and when he lived in BC. I really want to give it a try some day and I most deffinatly will be but ive never been too a warm enugh place to try it. I've never been out of Canada yet but i'm only 17 and the time will definatly come. I have snorkled before though. I't not really that scary, you have to get into the groove of diving on air and not going up too take a breath.

i was soo scared before i dived i was shaking because the instructor was saying things like "in the possible event of an equipment malfunction we take no responsibility for death or injury but then we went under and i felt like that was where i wanted to be i just loved it so much....

Ya those liability wavers are horible.

I mean look at the dangers of driving, but still billions and billions of people get behind the wheel of a car every day.

The fact is that almost any sport is dangerous, just to diffrent degrees.
