*sigh of relief" I just thoroughly read this entire thread. Wow.

For starters, yeah, totally freaking awesome project here. And there were some things here and there that I wanted to comment on, but I just wanted to get through this thread in one day. So I'll skip that part and move on to self-pity. :P

I wish I could help, but I probably don't have the skills to do anything very helpful. It's too bad this game is going to be based in a city. I'm pretty good... alright... not bad with Bryce 5. But the only thing I can do in it is scenery and stuff... like this:

Image

Sorry. Wish I could be of more help. I could to skylines, though... but they wouldn't be animated. *thinks about that for a second* Actually, Bryce 5 can do animations... but I don't think my PC is up to it. It took my computer about 7 hours to render a 10 frame animation of a moving skyline. (1.2 GHz Celeron) But... I can do stationary skylines... and maybe some voice-work. I've done several of these little "scenery" things in Bryce. Most of them don't make any sense, and were just for fun. For example, I made one, where it was like... a sea of lava, and a volcano in the middle... with giant chocolate doughnuts dipped in the lava.

Let me know if you want to see more/think you can do anything with my 1337 5ky1in3 5ki115. :P

Edit: Whoo! My 200th post! (Does this mean I can be in the game? :P ) Oh, also, I can probably do some SFX... er, maybe.

Edit #2: Oh, and you do need to have a Bunny Gang... but you should also do a Kitty Gang. Our population is growing... we will soon be powerful enough to overthrough the Bunny Gang and start a revolution!

Hey, what I need now is mainly a skycube. Do you think you could render cubemaps with Bryce? (6 sides of a cube for the sky)

I've been working on the engine, I'm getting an OK framerate considering I'm stuck with a TNT2.

If you can do a skydome instead of a cube you will get a much better outside texture because it is seamless unlike a cube that will have seams on the edges of the cube.

You can go to http://www.philohome.com/skycollec/skycollec.htm to get some free skydomes.

If you don't want that I can make some photoralistic skycubes useing a program called Terregen.[/img]

Hm, those domes don't look to bad.. although I am used to cubes because of habit, domes mean I can use a single culling distance.
But domes need more polygons...

Erm... geometrically speaking the nose isn't flat. It's more an issue of copying half his face over to the other side to get rid of some nastly lighting. It won't really make much difference in the game though.
