sci-fi costume

Post by Reaperman@home »

long story short my orders to new orleans have been delayed until feb, so I can go to a new years party here--a SCI-FI themed one.

it sounds cool, and I have more time than on my last costume, (especially given the number of days off involved) but I'd still like some sci-fi ideas that are relatively easy. As with last time anything funny is a plus, anything involving cross-dressing is better. Keep in mind that I'm a big fat geek so I prefer classic sci-fi.

With unlimited time and resources nothing would be cooler than Davros (not that anybody would 'get' it), but I'm looking more into a harkonnen with a cheap bathtub plug mounted over my heart. (that's my only real idea) Please help me with more.

for anybody who cares, I ran short of time on my last idea and went with 'inky' the blue ghost from pacman for my video game night. I got to beat up on Ms. Pacman.

Si-Fi as in SIFI TV show stuff?

Nothing says classic like one of those giant Ra heads from Stargate SG-1.

I mean look at that. Thats classy. Almost formal dinner wear.

Being a Jaffa would be nice, obviously you wouldnt be able to make the armor, but maybe just draw on the tattoo and wear a robe.

I could always wrap a halloween mask around a 'wig head' and attach it to my neck and go as that two-headed guy from the 1980's hitchhiker's miniseries. I'm not even going to try to spell that.

Zaphod Beeblebrox is a good idea. I wish I thought of that. :)
