GCp update: I finally made the clay mold for my case
!!!!!!!!!!!
it's about 11x6x1.5 (a little less than 1.5 inches....) and it looks ok. I'll probably have to sand down the irregular parts (it's relatively smooth, though
). tomorrow (when it should be dry....) I'll post a pic of it. slowly but surely the GCp case is being made......

Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

yeah, maybe even before thanksgiving......
(this is the 100th reply!!!!! I think this is the only topic with one hundred posts......I guess it's because it's eight months old......)
Edit: also, I glued the L and R shoulder buttons to the controller so now I'm pretty much done with all the wiring and stuff

ok, the plaster cast is dried, but I found out that I actually made the height too small
(it's only off by maybe 1/4 of an inch....)!!!! of course, I won't do everything over again, but I think I'm going to have to see if I can shorten the hieght of the GC a bit.....I know I can dremel off the strip of metal on top which is just ground but I hope that's enough.......
Edit: It actually looks like the GC will just fit in the case
....tomorrow I'll do the forming for sure, then
.

If you want just put something under the mold that will rise it up 1/4" so that you dont have to strain your brain (or project) trying to fit it into a case that might be too small.

So how the gamecube coming? Did you get the case done yet, are there any picture's? Also where did you order your power board from(the one inside the GC), because I have a couple of systems that need to fix.....

after this, I wrote:the GCp is coming along great, I've got the case done and after I finish wiring the controller again (yeah, my controller got screwed up so I have to do it all over again) I'll put the guts in. If I work all day tomorrow I might finish it, although Sunday would be more likely.......
Here's the place where I got the power boards.
As for pics, I'll probably wait until I'm done..........

well, there's many ways it can get screwed up....the chip can get fried somehow, a pin can rip off, a small resistor or some component could get fried........the damn things are really fragile
!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see the finished product. Your portable is looking great so far, the only recommendation I would make is that you get better batteries. You can get Li-Poly cells that output 6a at 7.4v now and that are about the same size...that's what I use for my PS2p portable. But if you can get good battery life off those I guess it doesn't matter...how long is it anyway?
