I only have one thing to say; It's all about the games. All the systems are powerful enough to make great games. They all will prolly have decent controlers (assuming that sony does not use that evil perversion of a controller). HD won't be that big of a deal at first. Later it might, but by then who cares. They might have all new systems coming out by the time HDTV becomes the standard.
So assuming N can make some fun games they might be able to pull it off. The tricky part for them will be getting good developers.
Litte note: At first I really didn't like the controller, but now that I've seen and played 360, I want something new! I never did like analog sticks.
I have lost all faith in Nintendo

Nintendo has made the best decision in videogame history, now one of the mainstream game developers has realized that videogaming has evolved far from your average twelve-year old. Utilizing a system that anybody can buy, plug-in play, let your parents play, than your grand-parents is ingenious. Nintendo is doing something right, but graphics and HDTV don't make the game, get over the lack of HD support. Once it's 2008 take your CRT television and dedicate it to the Revolution, and watch TV on your new-fangled HDTV. Lack of HD support doesn't matter just (this might sound crazy) keep your analog TV. Now, you've got full support for the system and you can watch HDTV, now eat a pop-tart and STFU.

nintendo's kind of cheesing me off right now too. for completely different reasons. I buy this pretty micro, and take it everywhere I go. wonderful. So why'd you orphan me, nintendo? I've had it, what? a month? My wallet's still open, I love your system, where's the rest?
where are my new games? It looks like this xmas gba gets a tired final fantasy port, mario tennis, yet another nfs repackage and handful of lousy licensed platformers. DS, which of course, "isn't a replacement for GBA" gets twice the titles.
and faceplates... where are my faceplates? this thing sits in my pocket all day *every* day--I need new face plates. I can buy an xbox 360 faceplate, because some companies realize that it's pure profit. Somebody's losing their touch as the profitmaster.
and what the heck happened to the evolution? has anybody heard anything new about it? Or did it, and the GBA both get replaced by that lousy, two screened brick?
don't mind me, just venting.

Hey, I LIKE the DS. It has the power to have 3D games on it, and the potential for completely original titles (Pac Pix, anyone?) that could onyl be possible on the PC.
Though, I still love my GBA more. I have always been a fan of 2D games, platformers specifically. Nintendo has, unfourtunately, abandoned the GBA. My GBA library consists of 8 or 9 games (to be fair, I traded some in, but I only regret trading ONE of them in), and my DS is only half of that. But by Christmas, I will probably have 7 DS games, and probably 11 GBA games. I may be asking for more GBA g ames than anythign else.. but the GBA is completely ignored! I mean, it's even shoved into a corner of most stores! Very doubtful you could find a GBA title from earlier in the year, yet you can still find launch DS games with little effort.
