PSX/PSone overclock tutorial done and ready!

Post by riva16 »

I have searched and searched and SEARCHED for a PSX/PSone overclocking guide! I remember most of this one wire mod by memory but the exact pin to lift wasa blur to me... Based on a sh*tty picture for oc'ing a PSone in my PSXp guide long ago, i was able to put clues together and figure it out. If anyone's interested in a new and revised, with better info guide, lemme know here. I'll start writing it tonight. If there's no demand, I'll just post it on my site. I figured I'd give you guys first dibs on my tutorial. Its really easy, and requires lifting one pin, and soldering a jumper wire from this pin tot he clock chip... EASY!

Alright, i said I'd start yesterday, but got busy finishing my PSX mods. This is my list...
6-wire One chip installed on 7501... Figure that out. WORKS!
Blue power LED
Open/closed door switch w/ LED "on" indicator
Overclocked from 33 Mhz to 64 Mhz
Overclocked CPU cooling fan

What else should I do?

Anyway, gimme a couple days to write and proof read it and all that stuff. Onyl thing is, you have to lift a CPU pin, which can be dangerous. I'll give you tips on how to succeed first time around. I also need someones help. If I don't get this, all the pics will be bitmap, and a couple real pics from my old guide! I need high res pics of the PSX and PSone motherboard. A newer model plz! Like 5501 to 9001. All are basically the same!
Thanks,
Kyle
