the pocket fami

Post by d33pthawte »

now i know that this site is dedicated to building portables, but i was wondering if any of you guys had ever just made improvements to current handhelds. case-and-point the pocket fami,(if you've never seen one, have a look here-

it's really neat looking, but the problem with the thing is that you need to use the converter to play your NES games, in other words it's made for the 60 pin famicom games. how much trouble do you guys think it'd be, or is it even possible to wire the thing directly to a 72 pin connector so you could plug your NES cartridge right in???

Read around, there is a ton of information on using 72 pin connectors on famis. I believe the pinout in G-force's Power Player thread(the sticky) will work.

Kade, you might want to be careful. If you remember, FDSman was a self-appointed moderator, saying things like "lock it", and people got irritated. He ended up banned. So it might not be a good idea to follow suit.

I can open the file, so it must be your computer. If you can get it running though, the pinouts should work for a 60 pin-72 pin conversion.
