im going to make a ps2p and im just wonder what r ur opinion on a wood case for the console?

well, if made right it shouldn't give you splinters
I'm not that big of a fan of wood though, so I can't comment too much

then it will look horrible. If you are really worried about splinters, sand it then stain it. Also, you could add some plastic handles.

Maybe make it out of plastic, with wood extras, like a wooden bezel around the screen, and whatever else.

As madc0w said, sand it with very fine sandpaper so its incredibly smooth and then stain it. It will feel extremely smooth, and you'll have a cool wood-stained finish look to it. I did that exact process with my homemade longbow, and its as smooth as glass.
