The point of getting a DS Lite is 'cause it looks cooler, is lighter, is brighter, is smaller, has a longer stylus, has 2 stylus slots, makes you look like the coolest kid on the block, and gets people a new warranty if it expired. I'm getting one as soon as it hits the shelves (I can't afford the ...

RF Box Capacitor

I had originally planned on making a NESp w/ my vintage '87, but i ordered a NOAC and I wanted to put my old NES back together. I ripped the large capacitor off the RF box. Can I still use my NES? Or do I have to build/buy another RF box? I'm sure this has been asked before, but I don't have time to ...

I'm hoping scherubino will see my thread and maybe part with one of his screens, but it doesn't seem likely. I keep randomly asking him for stuff in my thread. And now I'm mentioning him now... o well. Hope he likes a little publicity.

Off Topic: I can't wait for E3! I'm hoping the Rev secret will be something really cool. I originally speculated a different way of seeing the games, but with those new screenshots I doubt it. I'm thinking now that it may be Rev to DS/DSL connectivity. And Metroid Fusion was pretty freakin' sweet ...

Hardest part of N64p?

I've been contemplating whether or not to include a N64p in my "Nintendo Portabalizing Gauntlet" and I wanted to know some things. What do some of you think who have completed one think is the hardest part? Could you list what was hard about it, how long it took to complete it and how many tries it ...

couldn't you just get a hold of a Tristar 64 and put that in your N64p? It allows you to play NES, SNES and N64 games by sticking it in the cart slot. You could just hack one of those and save some space, although I'm not sure how available those things are.

EDIT: And it becomes a Tri-Console.

And can you believe I don't even own a cart of Super Metroid? I can't find it anywhere. Maybe I'll add that to the list of things I need on my thread. I was a little too young to realize how truly awesome the original Metroid was when I had it, but I got it and dumped it onto my GBAMP. It's pretty ...

i would definitely be interested. I'm starting on a "portable gauntlet" of sorts and a nice NOAC would make that part a lot easier for me. I'm trying to portabalize every Ninty console except virtual boy. I might skip the N64 too due to horror stories I've heard about them, but who knows. Do you ...

I wanted to do a snesp, but I have the big SNES and I can't find a mini SNES anywhere. Internet ordering is not an option for me currently. And I'm using the original NES, I can't find NOACs anywhere either.

I have everything planned out. I just got my GC working last night. First I decided I'm giong to build a PNES because it seems like it will be a LOT easier and I need to start working on my soldering skills. Then I'm going to start my GCP when my friend gets back. Everything is going to be in those ...

I've taken some initiative.

So I've had a broken Gamecube for like 2 years now (bought a new one) and I've been running the idea of fixing it and portabalizing it for a while, but I had no electronics knowledge. So first I went and bought Electronics for Dummies. I've gotten about halfway through it and found a lot of it to be ...

Would this be possible? Anyone? I don't have any electronics knowledge, but if it could be done I know some people. This solves any size issues and I think it would be fairly easy (but maybe not :? )
