DSi screen on a N64 portable

How would i go about it i'm trying to decide between a gamecube in car screen and a dsi top screen.

pros and cons:
gamcube screen pros:
runs to the n64 without rewireing
a good enough size
built in speakers and volume toggle

gamecube screen cons:
inferior back lighting feature(possibly)
will ...

how to dissable pal n64 lockout chip

I'm wondering how to disable the lockout chip on the pal Nintendo 64 (I live in Northern Ireland). the cartridge port would be easy to mod (see photo below). Please help me.
