m using 10 rechargeable AA's for 12v

annd 3 for 3.6 volts

for a volume knob, just use a volume ontroller from a pair of headphones

basically, i just need to drill my case for the buttons and scren. then i hav to screw it together

it runs great!!

im using 2300 Mah AA batteries

it should be done in the next week, im quite lazy, lol

DO NOT BUY THAT POWER COMVERTER

its a waste of 20 bucks. It does not supply enough amps to power the 3.3 V line

radioshack makes a high power adapter for 10 bucks more that should werk

i bought the 20 dollar one, and am now out 20 bucks!

ok i will!

first off, im so glad to hav e this thing powered offa batteries!!
it assures me that this project is possible!

what about achiening 3.6 colts from 7.2v. im going toi try it with 7.2 volts and see if it works. if it does, are the options better or worse?

it works!!

i used a rechargeable battery from a cordless phone and it works great!

i figured out why my 3v line coming off my converter didnt work- it only put out 300 ma max, that is not 1.5A therefore, no go

so ive got to either get a high power converter (another 30 bucks) or use 2 seperate ...

it cant be fried, because when i use it with the power brick it works!!

hmm, this is quite aggrivating!

would it have any thing to do wit the batteries im using?
because im using crappy Everready Alkalines

power...what am i doing wrong!

i just got a brand new nus001 board

ive tried 2 battery configurations

one with a 12V source (8 AA), and a seperate 3V source(2AA)

the second a 12 volt source wih a 3v converter

for both, when i connect it up, the red power light comes on, but i get no video, i believe the video is contolled by ...
