Yeah i hear you. Like you say its down to the individual etc.

Personally my perfect portable would have an original controller in it as i quite like the layout and feel of the original. But i can understand why people would prefer a more modern button layout.

You know, I've got an idea of why they're positioned like that... I'll try to explain.

Hold your hand out in front of you, palm facing down, and move your thumb up and down. Now position your hand so it's like you're holding a controller, and make the same motions. You can see your thumb motion ...

nice idea. I cant answer any of your 2 questions but i have a query. Whats your thinking behind putting the a and b buttons at an angle. I notice quite a lot of people do this.

Is it not better to keep them in a straight line so that it feels more like an original pad when playing? (Just my opinion)

Hailrazer - Just spotted this just now. Just want to tell you i think it is awesome!!!

I find that a lot of portables are not to my tastes as they look a bit amateurish or something (not knocking all the hard work people put in i just personally prefer the ones that look like they are factory made ...

You can do that with RockNesx, I made autorun.inf for this emulator to start but you will still be prompted like when inserting a cd.The games load automaticaly from USB drive and you can see the list of all games, you just need to put zipped roms inside ``roms`` folder. so it would be sorta like an autorun thing? I know that CDs can do this on windows, I don't know about usb drives, but you might want to give that a try.

I believe they use autorun.inf files to autostart apps.

Yeah just a simple windows notepad file saved as autorun.bat which will have the exe ...

I suspected the second one is closer in colour with the paler blue etc.

And the more i look at it i think the blockiness of the mario in the second one is closer to the original.

When i get my nes back ill check for sure.
