Yeah i hear you. Like you say its down to the individual etc.
Personally my perfect portable would have an original controller in it as i quite like the layout and feel of the original. But i can understand why people would prefer a more modern button layout.

nice idea. I cant answer any of your 2 questions but i have a query. Whats your thinking behind putting the a and b buttons at an angle. I notice quite a lot of people do this.
Is it not better to keep them in a straight line so that it feels more like an original pad when playing? (Just my opinion)

You can do that with RockNesx, I made autorun.inf for this emulator to start but you will still be prompted like when inserting a cd.The games load automaticaly from USB drive and you can see the list of all games, you just need to put zipped roms inside ``roms`` folder.
