Re: OverClocking the GBA question
All that's going to happen is it's going to crash.... maybe. Nothing is going to break.

Re: Much frustration! Hooking up a controller to a DMG
Yeah, that's what I feared. What I might just do is use a neo geo controller port, and just wire up every trace. Worst case scenario I will need two wires per button, but already I got two working with the same ground, so I think it will work alright.

Much frustration! Hooking up a controller to a DMG
So, I decided to hook up a DB9 terminal, so I could plug in some controllers to a DMG. Now, like the color, or sp, I was hoping that just connecting one end of some kynar to ground, and poking a bunch of stuff with the other would let me find some places to tap controller signals. Boy was I wrong. I ...

Re: Gameboy Color Recharagable battery mod.
I did this too, but I installed a mini usb port on the side, and bought a cheapo charging circuit so I never even have to take the battery out.

Best PC Engine RGB Amp?
As the title implies, I've found a few RGB amps, there's on on mmmonkey's site, and then there's the gamesx one. I would rather not put it in a SCART lead, and mmmonkey's is just three transistors, it doesn't get any easier. Is the gamesx one overcomplicated?

Re: Does the sp have a device similar to the GBA's Transverter?
Part of the problem is the transverter. I think I found the perfect work around though for my LSDJ fun time. Should be interesting to see if I can get it to work. I plan to use a SNES as a base, then gut the upper screen area, and wire in a new LCD getting RGB feed from the SNES, that way I can have ...

Does the sp have a device similar to the GBA's Transverter?
As the title says, I'd like to pursue TV out for my SP for a project I'm trying to do. RGB is a must. However, I would like to hear about any TV out items that work particularly well. Thanks.

Re: Gameboy pocket mod question
I tried that but it seems like the faint power being given off by the left or right channel isnt enough to open the gate.
I do have another question though. I managed to get a ds lite battery inside of the gameboy pocket and it powers it fine. I have it connected to the power jack on the bottom of ...

Re: Creating an LED diffusion panel
Who cares, those are super cheap, and it's not very hard to position. Possibly make a thread, and get it stickied? I could see a mass of people from here getting some, it's right up everyone's alley really.

Re: Creating an LED diffusion panel
Thanks for the information. I'll see what I can come up with. If 100 can be beaten, then I would be down for a few.

Re: Creating an LED diffusion panel
Would you recommend looking into an HK factory then to get a bunch produced? I know a few that could maybe do it. I spoke with the mash mods people, and they told me they do not plan to continue that particular service. I will purchase around 25-50, and have a good feeling many people here could use ...

Re: Creating an LED diffusion panel
I would love to hear any follow up on that. DX has stuff for dirt cheap, if I could get them from there it would be perfect.

Re: Creating an LED diffusion panel
Right, I'm familiar with using them. I was just hoping a better alternative existed. Any alternative really, the only part needed is a small dispersion screen, and likely it costs less than than an entire broken unit.

Re: Creating an LED diffusion panel
I had similar thoughts, but this a forum filled with resourceful people, and I figured if it could be done, this is as good a place as any. There must be some other way to light the screen though, I found this nice website, http://lcdparts.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , but at ...

Creating an LED diffusion panel
I'm sure everyone here is familiar with using gameboy sp screens to frontlight things. However, I have been reading that cd cases can diffuse the led light quite well? I would love to know how this is done, as I don't want to buy any more sp screens if all I need is a cd case. On a related note, are ...
