would have to be almost paper thin. the problem is the pins are not even bent to fit down into holes. i went looking back on the site and there are other buttons just like it but with longer pins. however i am unable to buy thoughs cause its not sold on the site anymore.

i got the buttons you suggested but there is a problem. they dont fit in pc board. the pins are not long enough. what can i do?

those are just what i was looking for. and those are the same batteries i had gotten before but while trying to solder the wires to the connects i fried them. any suggestions on how to avoid that in the future?

You LED modded it right? If you did, you should just leave it all the up. It won't make much of a difference on the battery life. If not, you should leave the buttons on it, if you're playing in a well lit room, maxed brightness is a little too much.

i got 12000 mcd LEDs and they seem to be bright enough. you should also try using 4 LEDs, it gives it a move even lighting. you wont need anything extra for 4 LEDs you just wire it in with the others and use the same resistor. i got mine from http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main ...

Use a normally open button for the volume and contrast buttons, but yeah- any should work.

I would suggest connecting both left and right audio, but it's up to you if you connect one, both, or neither. You've also got to supply power by the way- that's another wire you need to hook up. ;)
