I'm using the ZN-40 case as well. Do the LED mod, then you can cut this bit off:

Note: In that image I'd already removed the transformer (metal thing that goes across the gap) and cut off a bit of the top of the motherboard. Once you've ...

@MARIOPARTY555333
Thanks for the compliment :D

@DK & bacteria
I've never seen a "the range" store. I checked online and unfortunately my nearest store is 40.6 miles away (at least according to google maps :P)

It's a shame that you say the Plasti-Kote paint isn't good. I think I may test some on a ...

@bacteria
Yes, thanks for that! I think that is my most likely option for buying batteries at the moment.

@lovablechevy
Hmm nope no walmarts here in the UK (though Im pretty sure the supermarket Asda is actually owned by walmart...).

Glad you like it :D

@mothatrucka
Ah, thanks for pointing that ...

@Neildo_64 and bacteria
Thanks, looks like just what I need, hopefully I'll be able to find some on ebay or somewhere if I can't find it in the UK.

@marshallh
Thanks, that was just the information I needed! I want my case to look as good as possible :D

@ShockSlayer

Everything is going well! I decided to get to work on the controller today. I got my N64 controller, opened it up, took the mobo out, and then cut the controller casing into lots of little pieces so that I had the C buttons, A and B buttons, Start button, joystick and d-pad plastic in separate ...

Just got a job as a cleaner at my school, have to clean for about 1.5 hours after school, get paid £5.05/hour ($9.97/hour). Currently I only work monday and wednesday so that's only £15.15/week, but I should be able to work more, especially during the summer :D

I can answer two of your questions:
1) Putting 12v through the PSone screen will most likely break it;
2) The PSone screen can run off a voltage slightly lower than the stated 7.5v, so 7.2v should be fine (but I am not certain of this);

And so yes, if the gamecube needs 12v and the screen 7.5v you ...

This is my 1st portable, but Im confident I will get it all in. The screen and N64 fit, I just need to also cram the controller in which will be the hard part. I didn't relocate the cart slot or expansion pack, they simply stick out the back, and Im also mounting my battery on the back as well, so I ...

ye of little faith, I will get it all in, just you watch! :P I did consider using the ZN-45 case since it's a little wider, however I thought it might feel unconfortable to hold.

My milliput which I ordered exactly a week ago (and stated 3 working day delivery, pff) arrived earlier, so I set to ...

@schmellyfart
No, I just used one SCSI cable. Was I meant to use two?

@Dr. KillGood
The way I did it (not necessarily the best way) was by taping the screen in place using tape on the outside of the case. Then I used hotglue on the inside to stick the plastic screen case in place. Once the glue was ...

Thanks bacteria!

I don't think I will bend all the heatsink pins because they seem to be quite stiff, and won't bend very far.

Good news - using my homemade battery I connected up my PSone screen, N64 and transformer, and it all works fine! Well, I say fine, the image on the screen is a bit ...

Yes I suppose I could try and cut my heatsinks down, though I don't have access to a dremel (or at least, not one with a cutting attachment). The best I could do really is try and hacksaw through it, which could take a while...

Oh well, I'll just go for cutting grooves in the N64 blocks, and if that doesn't work I shall have to use my ever so slightly larger heat sinks and make some adjustments to my case so that it all fits! I'm nearly out of space and I still have the controller left to wire in :P

Well, at the moment I already have a few heatsinks like this one:
http://64digits.com/users/marbs/IMG_0608.jpg
As you can see they are just a couple millimetres higher than the N64 block thing, which isn't that much but I still want to save as much space as possible. Are the heatskinks you have ...
