frankly, I don't see how gamemaker has the powers to interface with serial port cues, although I may be wrong. It can definitely be done in C/C++. There is a decent parallel port API I've heard about called ParaPort, which lets you access the LPT pin by pin. I think with this and c++ it'd work ...
