Only two layers. Someone has made either an Atari2600 or an NES portable that way. Cutting it in half and stacking them, if I remember correctly. Also if I remember correctly, there's a point where there aren't that many traces crossing.

For what reason would you overclock your NES? Would it allow it to run better when more sprites are on the screen and things of that nature?

Has anyone ACTUALLY ever done it? Has anyone ACTUALLY ever made a cart of multiple ROMs? I have never seen anyone bragging about it, but somehow, several Honk Kong companies have been able to do it for pennies. Theoretically, if we had a ROM image of a multi-cart, could we burn it in it's entirety ...
