how do you take apart the "gold" bolt-type ones?
Do you mean like the ones in Nintendo systems and older carts? For those the pen melt method can be best.
@Retromaster: Are you talking about the tri-wings? If so, do what I said a few posts up.

Need help with a SigmaTel chip

Does anyone have any experience hacking SigmaTel chips? Specifically, the SMTP35xx line. I'm working on an iPod Shuffle hack, and I want to addon a 1.8" hdd, but I'm not sure where to begin. I have a schematic (i think) of the chip, so that's no problem.
