It appears that this solved my power problem. Now I am getting the screen to power on and I am getting 5volts to my NES. Now I just need to troubleshoot why I am getting no picture!

I will get one tonight if I can get to Radio Shack and try this out.

I am looking at figure 7-24 in the book. it shows 7.5 volts coming off the center leg of the 7805 just before the 1uf cap. I shows unregulated power from battery terminal to leg that is normally 5volts out. and conneted to the .1uf capacitor. I have it hooked this way but I do not have 7.5 volts ...

I have completly finished wiring my nesp by the book but I can not get it to work. I think the first problem lies in the 7805 on the right (D) board. Nevermind I just gave up. I have found that giving up is way more easy than seing a project all the way through!
