Re: PS3 Laptop (a.k.a The ULTIMATE gaming laptop) worklog

Good to see someone else making a PS3 laptop besides me. haha

Mine's almost done. Just a few things to finish up.

Hopefully some CFW gets released soon so we don't have to worry about newer games updating us to the newest FW.

I've been using Loctite's Plastic Epoxy. Stuff's pretty durable.

Re: The perfect amplifier/speakers to go with your small screen.

Bought one of these and it's insanely loud for what it is. :D

My problem now is trying to find some replacements for those tact switches. I'd like to use something with a button attached. Any ideas?

My Pelican case was only about $80. Not very bad.

Re: Pelican XBox 360 laptop Worklog

I'm using a pelican case as well for my laptop. I was thinking of doing something similar to what you did for screwing the acrylic down into. What type of material is that? I was thinking about just using some plastic epoxy (like that magic putty stuff) and going about it that way.

You mean like using the nun-chuck without it hooked up to the remote?

Re: I have a couple power questions

Technically, there should be no problems with me pulling power from the PS3's 120V incoming line to my LCD's power board, right? I'm pretty sure Ben did this with his PS3 Slim Laptop, but I can't tell for sure by the pictures he posted.

I found a speaker system I'm going to use. I've got it all ...

Sorry about that - forgot I was in the portable section. I was looking for something for my PS3 laptop, but didn't think the original one posted would be big enough.

I just stumbled upon this.

Wonder if this will be any good?
