I think I fixed the problem, but before I could test, I heard a crack-like sound on the left side of the screen and now it won't work. Is it possible that I fried it, or did something go wrong with the mobo?

I've been charging my batteries for about 10 minutes, so I turned on the guts to see if they work, but the screen acted as if it were getting a signal, but it went pure white and didn't do anything else but show up white and make a high-pitched noise. Is this normal for batteries only charged for 10 ...

That's for using two 4021s. Not for using one discontinued original 520B (THe IC in the original SNES controllers).

Other than the fact the you need a resistor for each LED, Ben's got it right. Except, I'm not sure what Ohm he says to use, but you need 22ohm.
