Yeah I followed all the diagrams and instructions in Ben's book exactly. All the parts are identical to what he used. What do you want a pic of? I'll get you anything you need to see what's going on

Ok I tested and yes I do have nearly 10 volts going in to the 7805 on the NES motherboard. And I do have +5 volts coming out of it, so that component is good. I also tested and have +5 volts going into the motherboard (frmop the 7805). However when I tested the Video OUT port on the NES motherboard ...

So I would put the negative tester on the ground? and the positive tester on the +5 volts going in or out? which one does the positive touch to?

Wow lucky bastard! I very well could have the same problem you're having, or HAD, a bad 7805 on the NES motherboard. Do you know how to test that component individually so I can see if its shot or in working condition?

I do have a multimeter, the problem is I'm not really sure how to sue it or where to test. For instance I don't know which end to put where (positive, negative) when I'm testing the connection between two components/spots. I still get confused easily since Im new at electronics the flow fo the ...

I soldered the center wires to the video out. There is a sheath that surrounds those center wires and then a bunch of other wires that surrounds that. I didnt connect those wires to anything, but youre saying those wires should be connected to ground? I'll give that a try but shouldn't I have gotten ...
